Next to providing therapy, we at Limen want to establish a regular get together for everyone interested in and navigating neurodivergencies at our practice. Our vision is to offer a safe space where everyone can take their mask down, be themselves, celebrate their unique strengths and meet others with similar experiences. Through presentations held by our own psychologists and other experts, we also hope to create opportunities to learn and grow together. Entrance is free and we will provide some snacks. 

When?

For our very first meetup we picked Saturday, 24th of October at 14:30h 

Where?

At our practice in Leiden, Gabriel Metzustraat 56. 

For whom?

Everyone who is navigating neurodivergencies such as ADHD, Giftedness, Autism and others as well as everyone interested in these topics. You don't necessarily need to be curious about therapy options but might feel like you can't really connect with many people? Our vision is that this will become a place where you find like-minded others who experience the same with a high chance to connect to them, maybe even beyond these meetings. Also feel very invited if you might just be wondering if features you or others might have noticed can be explained with a neurodivergency. 

What can you expect? 

We want to start our get-togethers with short presentations about a specific topic, followed by open discussions and providing a space where you can just chat with others. We are still developing the format for our meetups and are always open to feedback to make it fit even more with what you might want these meetings to be. Our first presentation will focus on distinctions, overlaps and an (for some) potentially unconventional positive view on adhd, giftedness and autism from a neuroaffirmative perspective.  

What is special about the first meet up?

We have been building Limen PsyAssist over the last few months and reached a few important milestones during the last weeks that make it possible for us to really get started now. Therefore, for us, this meetup will also be somewhat of a housewarming party :)
